Most Kentuckians consider Kentucky as being part of the South, and if it’s one thing the South is known for, it’s the traditions. When it comes to weddings, you can typically count on the bride and groom not seeing each other before the wedding. So when the bride told me she and the groom were planning a first look, I was pleasantly surprised, and completely thrilled.
Now men are notorious for not showing a lot of emotion, but not this groom. The moment he laid eyes on his bride, you could see the love. It just poured out of him and it was obvious she was the only one who mattered. Honestly, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a man look at a woman with so much love and it was heartwarming and tear-jerking (the good tears) to watch.
We started with a first look and pictures of the bride, groom, and bridal party at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro, KY.
After the first round of portraits, it was time to head to Ohio County to The Lake Room for the ceremony and reception. It really is a beautiful venue for a wedding and all of V & B’s wedding decor complimented it beautifully.
The burlap banner with images of the bride and groom captured the attention of everyone there.
How adorable are these shotgun shell boutonnieres?
The bride and bridesmaids all wore cowboy boots for the big day.
Congratulations V & B, your wedding was simply gorgeous. Best wishes for the Happily Ever After you both deserve.
