Another thing Western Kentucky is known for is its crazy weather. I was a bundle of nerves the day of this wedding because of the weather. It wasn’t even the rain I was worried about. It was the clouds. With a 6:15 ceremony time and a crazy cloudy day, I was terrified it was going to be dark before we were able to do bride and groom portraits. And by golly, we were at a GORGEOUS venue, I was going to do their portraits outdoors there!
Fortunately, the rain didn’t last long, and about the time the ceremony started, the clouds parted ever so slightly and God blessed us with the most glorious light. Seriously, like every photographers DREAM lighting.
The day started with the bridesmaids getting ready at The Summit Country Club in Owensboro, KY.
The ceremony took place by the lake of the Summit. How awesome are the doors the bridal party to entered through?
The reception was held in a reception hall at St. Pius Catholic Church.
T & P, your wedding was simply stunning. I wish you nothing but the best as you embark on the next chapter in your lives.
