This is another wedding I can’t believe I’m just now getting to blog.  Meghan and Zach’s September wedding day started out beautiful.  Sunny with beautiful blue skies.  Just a bit of a chill to the air and some wind gusts we had to deal with.  Like wind gusts so strong the DJ’s tv was knocked over.

The ceremony took place at Gospel Mission Church in Rockport, IN with a reception at The Rustic Country Club.

As we were gathering everyone together by the lake for the formal pictures, it begin to rain.  See the trees in the background of the photo below? We took shelter under them until the rain passed.  Thankfully it wasn’t a very hard rain!

Every bride fears something going wrong on their wedding day.  Rain.  A messed up cake.  No show DJ.  Honestly the list is endless.  Unfortunately Meghan was one of those brides whose fears came true.  Her wedding cake was a no show and an emergency run to a local bakery had to be made.  But I want you to see the photo below.  See the smile and the pure happiness radiating from the bride and groom?  That’s what was important! While it was disappointing for her planned cake not to have arrived, she rolled with it and still managed to radiate pure joy.

And that rain I mentioned? The beautiful blue skies returned just in time for the reception.

On a totally unrelated note, is it just me or does Meghan kinda look like Laura Wright (Carly on General Hospital)?
