Rainy Spring Church Wedding
Days before the wedding, Taya and I were both stalking the weather. Like multiple times a day kind of checking it (at least it was for me and I know she checked a lot too!)
Every day, the forecast just got rainier. And rainier. And rainier. Like of all our Kentucky rainy spring days, I think that day ended up being one of the wettest all spring.
I’ve shot rainy wedding days before. But as a photographer, I want to be able to take my couple outdoors for beautiful photos without hair and makeup being ruined (and plus rain and electronics are not a great combo!) Luckily Taya located a couple clear umbrellas and I purchased some additional rain gear-hoping not to need it.
Alas I did. But Taya’s score of the umbrellas came in great. After the ceremony, the entire bridal party was game for getting a little wet (at this time it was just a heavy misty sprinkle) and seriously, I could not have asked for a more cooperative group of people. The whole wedding party was just fantastic about rolling with it and we ended up with some beautiful photos to show for it!
