I’ve got to admit. I have lived in the same county Bill Monroe called home for all my life. Yet I had never visited the home place before this wedding. So when Betsy and Trevor told me they would be getting married on the porch at the homeplace at Jerusalem Ridge, I really had no idea what to expect. I kinda panicked at first, worried that it would be dark and dreary under the porch. But as fate would have it, it was absolutely beautiful out there. We had gorgeous afternoon light and perfect shade under the porch.
Simple and rustic but elegant decor was the perfect finishing touch to the outdoor venue. Quilts and lace served as tablecloths atop picnic tables under the trees in the yard.
