Newborn sessions are becoming one of my favorite types of sessions. I get to snuggle sweet babies (and then send them home for someone else do the up all nights 😉 ). If you’ve been a fan of my page or reading my blog for any length of time, you may remember this couple from their Bill Monroe Homeplace Wedding.
After watching this momma grow up, go to college, get married, and now have baby number two, it was an honor to be chosen to capture another important milestone in their life. This is also one of the reasons I shoot weddings and portraits, I get to revisit many of my couples when they begin having families. Each one holds a special place in my heart.
They even let let me test out my newest in studio set on them. (Secretly I was hoping they would).
Big sister wasn’t into the session. But honestly, this one with her hand over her mouth is all we really need and then grandma rescued her.
Dad picked out this sage green for her. I think it was a great choice! It looks beautiful on her and is probably some of my favorite images from the set.
I find I have a unique sense of taste in the props I pick for sessions. It took awhile, but finally a momma arrived who also loved the earth tone headband in the photo below. My inner me was jumping for joy. It does not have to be fall to appreciate these colors!
Isn’t she a doll?!?!?!?! I mean, how adorable is that little squished up face in this photo?
