I think we can all agree babies are a blessing anytime of year. But I love shooting fall newborn sessions because I love fall colors! It’s the perfect time of year to work in those warm neutrals and jewel tones into a session. And babies look sooo good in them!

Especially this little Miss with her dark hair and that complexion. Is it weird I get jealous when newborns come in for a session and their skin tone is like a million times better than mine?

Mom walked in and immediately felt like an old friend. She was also in to the fall tones, so we brought out the earthy brown backdrops and swaddles and headbands and even a little pumpkin to hold onto.

This dusty pink backdrop has become a new favorite for the girls! I love pairing it with soft pinks and creams. While the dusty pink part plays well with fall tones, really this is a set that’s gorgeous anytime of the year. Using cream with babies may just be my absolute favorite color to use though.

While white isn’t technically a fall tone, this blanket was one brought in by mom she wanted to use. I love the clean simplicity of the brown and white.

And older sister had a photo with pearls so this one was moms request too. But if definitely gives a soft, feminine touch to the images.

And I’m just going to throw this out there because I love these tones so much, but these colors photography beautifully anytime of the year. Not just for fall newborn sessions.
