The Blanford House…when I was told the wedding was there, I was immediately intrigued. New (to me) venues are always exciting.

A quick google search later and my excitement doubled! I knew I was getting a photogenic couple in a venue that showcased gorgeous natural light. Photographers everywhere rejoice and just get plum giddy when these combos align!

Wedding days rarely happen without a minor hitch and their wedding day is no exception. For this wedding, it was a battle against the wind. We didn’t just have wind. The wind was almost blow you over kinda wind! Ok…maybe not quite blow you over but it wasn’t for lack of effort on the winds part. It was WINDY! Although the outdoor circumstances were a bit crazy, they looked absolutely lovely under the pergola giving their vows, they were able to say their I do’s, and able to share their first kiss as Mr. & Mrs.

And you know what, it’s like I told Hannah and Derek, we all want the little details to be absolutely perfect. But at the end of the day, there is only one thing that really and truly matters; and that’s being legally wed to the person you love the most.

Now The Pretty Stuff

Wedding day details are some of my favorite things to photograph. Featured here are the grooms shoes and tie on a special heirloom of the brides; her grandfathers trunk.

Can you have a venue such as this and not shoot a few images in front of it?!?!

wedding reception details

Hannah’s style reminds me of old Hollywoord glam. Everything was just so elegantly and tastefully done.
